I love urban decay - there's always a story behind every abandoned place. Buildings that are silently succumbing to entropy, but were once noisy and busy with people moving to and fro. Why did this factory shut down and why was so much of the product left behind to slowly disintegrate? When was the last day this place was in operation and who was the last person to leave here, turn the key in the door, and walk away forever?
Today the warehouse is empty of people, but those who came after this ceased to be a place of business have left their mark. Local graffiti artists, the homeless, and wandering animals have all passed through here, becoming part of the mysterious history of this place.
We found this adorable dog in the vacant homeless encampment on one of the floors. While it was disturbing to find an animal (or person) living in such difficult conditions, it was obvious that this dog was well-fed, taken care of, and not abused. We later dropped off the biggest bag of dog food we could find along with some water to help out whomever was taking care of her.
